We are at a turning point in American education.  While exciting, issues such as the Common Core, the rise of technology, and changing student demographics have placed an incredible strain on our principals and teachers to collaborate effectively on our campuses, and to deliver results inside and outside the classroom.

The Teacher of the Year Leadership Summit brings accomplished Teacher-Leaders from across southern California face-to-face with other teachers like them, to:

What is the Day's Agenda?

The event date is May 18, 2015 and the program runs 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., with registration and coffee beginning at 7:30 a.m.  The agenda brings participants face-to-face with some of the country’s top Teacher-Leaders and Guest Experts, and provides the structure for real interaction that leads to transformative change in our schools and across our communities.  A detailed agenda will be emailed to attendees soon!

San Diego State University's College of Education, under the leadership of Dr. Joseph Johnson, is againgenerously providing the conference venue and parking.  As one of the nation's top Colleges of Education, SDSU recognizes and supports the need to produce highly effective Teacher Leaders to transform education. What is the cost & what is included in this event?

Registration is $239 -- (teachers, be sure to ask your principal to pay your way with professional development funds!) and includes:

What is the refund policy?

We are happy to provide a full refund up to two weeks prior to the event date, if you need to cancel for some reason (although we'll miss having you there!).  After May 4, 2015, we will not be able to provide any refunds (as meals and supplies will already be ordered and paid for). Thank you for your understanding!

What's the scoop on the location and parking?

The Parma Payne Goodall Alumni Center at San Diego State University is a state-of-the-art facility across the street from the main SDSU campus.  Parking is easy and free (thanks to SDSU's College of Education!) in the parking structure right next to the Alumni Center.
