2015 EVENT DETAILS
Why should you attend this Leadership
We are at a turning point in American education. While exciting, issues such as the Common Core, the rise of technology, and changing student demographics have placed an incredible strain on our principals and teachers to collaborate effectively on our campuses, and to deliver results inside and outside the classroom.
Now more than ever, we need highly effective Teacher-Leaders who have the courage, poise and skills to lead on their campuses and throughout their communities.
The Teacher of the Year Leadership Summit brings accomplished Teacher-Leaders from across southern California face-to-face with other teachers like them, to:
- Discuss their top-of-mind issues, and return to their schools with solutions that work.
- Dialogue with other top Teacher-Leaders (including National, State and Regional Teachers of the Year) to form the strongest Teacher-Leader network in our region.
- Leave with real skills and strategies that they
can use to lead their colleagues to solutions that address their school’s most
** Please Note: This event is open to award-winning teachers -- such as current & past Teachers of the Year from any school, district, county, union, professional organization, etc. -- as well as TOY Program Coordinators & Administrators. **
What is the Day's Agenda?
The event date is May 18, 2015 and the program runs 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., with registration and coffee beginning at 7:30 a.m. The agenda brings participants face-to-face with some of the country’s top Teacher-Leaders and Guest Experts, and provides the structure for real interaction that leads to transformative change in our schools and across our communities. A detailed agenda will be emailed to attendees soon!
